A classically toned - dull green - historic tile roof The Dull Green Range is one of the great Vintage colors. The effect was first achieved in the Chicago Works of the (then) Ludowici-Celadon Company by sandblasting a glazed tile.. The variations within the shades of green are only possible in a "Vintage" tile, which was burned out in a beehive kiln. The Closed shingle or Book tile was very popular in the 1920's and is available in a range of colors.
The average size of Inter-locking Shingle Tile is 14" (L) X 9" (W). There are approxi-mately 158 pieces in a square weighing 800 lbs. These tiles are available in the Americana, Classic, Lanai, Jamestown, Lightweight and Williamsburg patterns as well as lesser known styles such as Wave or Wedge. The "Vintage" colors offer a full range of Reds, FireFlash, Browns, Greens and Grays. There are also special, made-to-order blends available in the Blue Range. This Chalet radiates in mixed Americana hues
